Description
1. Wastewater Collections (Small System/Class I), January 17 – 21, 2007 – Hay River Covers basic techniques necessary to operate within wastewater trucked collection systems. Fundamentals of water and wastewater characteristics, regulatory safety are also discussed. Class I component builds upon the small systems wastewater introduces the components of wastewater treatment facilities such Rotating Biological Contractor and extended aeration facilities. 2. Class I Water Distribution, February 12-16, 2007 – Yellowknife This courses focuses on providing participants with a working knowledge of piped water distribution systems. Best practices in operations and maintenance as well as specific construction process are also covered. 3. Fundamentals of Controls, April 17-19, 2007-Yellowknife The course will focus on providing participants with a fundamental working knowledge of all control systems typically found in the operation of a water treatment plant. Participants will learn the function of various controls and understand the application of flow, pressure and temperature controls.
