Description

With increasing development in the Northwest Territories, and an unprecedented increase in habitat changes expected in the Mackenzie Valley, all organizations, groups and communities are prepared to increase their awareness of the risks related to IAS and to help reduce that risk. Many communities have expressed concern over the potential effects of IAS in our northern ecosystems.· This project would increase knowledge of pathways of entry and spread of IA plants and insects in the NWT.· The product of this project will be a report on the pathways of entry and spread of invasive alien plants and insects in the NWT.
