Description
Implementation of the Early Development Instrument for use as a population-based measure taken at kindergarten to provide information on children’s development over the first five years. The Early Development Instrument (EDI) was developed by Drs. Magdalena Janus and Dan Offord from the Offord Centre of McMaster University in 1999. The EDI cannot be implemented without entering into a contract with McMaster. They are the sole source of the EDI and have contracts with every province and territory across Canada (with exception of Nunavut).
