The objective is developing and implementing a multi-layered public awareness
campaign that will:
• increase aboriginal student and achievement in schools
throughout the NWT;
• raise awareness on the importance of aboriginal student
achievement and success;
• identify the challenges and eliminating the
barriers facing aboriginal students;
• educate stakeholders on the northern
education system;
• engage students, parents, and the community in the
education process;
• support and enhance current student achievement
initiatives and projects; and
• build brand equity around Aboriginal student
achievement
