RFP is to identify and select an experienced conference management consultant,
firm or team that will be responsible for event support, planning,
co-ordination and execution of all aspects related to holding a 1.5 day
facilitated Youth Conference in Yellowknife, July 7, 2011 (starting at 1:00
p.m.) and July 8, 2011 with approximately 50 youth, the Premier of the NWT,
possibly other Ministers, Regional Aboriginal Leaders, Members of the
Legislative Assembly, and the President of the NWT Association of Communities.
Youth are considered those between the ages of 18 and 25. The conference
management consultant, firm or team will not provide facilitation services; the
conference management consultant, firm or team will be responsible for planning
and support to a facilitator(s) chosen at the discretion of Department of
Aboriginal Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations (DAAIR) staff.
