Description
In August 2010 the Fort Smith Correctional Complex experienced a voicemail outage due to their current (and defective) Mitel SX-200EL telephone system. Based on the age of the system NorthwesTel has determined that they can no longer maintain this system since it’s been discontinued by Mitel Networks. Therefore the only solution to restore voicemail at the FSCC is to upgrade the system to a new Mitel 200-ICP (Integrated Communications Platform) which would be installed using the existing equipment at the facility. This new system supports all existing telephone sets and is compatible with the existing components of the current Mitel SX-200 system. This upgrade will resolve the voicemail issues at the FSCC.
