Description

The North Slave Caribou Monitoring Program requires a 206B helicopter for 30 hours of flying between 27 March and 5 April 2006 to conduct caribou composition surveys on the winter range of the Bathurst herd. Caribou composition work requires frequent landings near large groups of caribou and low level flying over small groups of caribou with as little disturbance to the caribou as possible. Work will be based out of Lutselk'e, Yellowknife and possibly Wekweti. Food and accommodation will be provided outside of Yellowknife but the pilot should bring personal gear and a sleeping bag.
